"… Nobody here comprehends "my darling".

 Religion to these individuals is the reason, and terribly stony at that.
I couldn't care less for anyone who can't love my "Dearest"… .

they (alluding to a few) never were quite a bit of religious men – for example,
 they just needed to talk and reason,
 did not battle to see the Beloved;
 and until one does that I don't state that he has any religion.
  • He may have books,
  • frames,
  • regulations,
  • words,
  • reasons,
  • and so forth.,

so forth., not the religion;
for that starts when the spirit feels the need,
the need,
the longing after the "Dearest",
 at no other time."
