SRI RAMAKRISHNA'S MAHASAMADHI. (1886)
Amid the Master's last day at Cossipore, we as a whole idea he was better since he ate a great deal more dinner than expected, and he didn't state anything of going. Toward the evening, he had asked Yogin (Swami Yogananda) to look in the chronicle and see whether it was a propitious day. Likewise, he had been letting us know for quite a while that the vessel which was drifting in the sea was at that point 66% brimming with water, and soon the rest would top off and dive into the sea. Be that as it may, we didn't trust that he was extremely going. He never appeared to mind the agony. He never lost his happiness. He used to state that he was all well and glad, just there was a bit of something here (indicating the throat). "Inside me are two people," he would proclaim. "One is the Divine Mother, and the other is her lover. The enthusiast has become sick."
At the point when Sri Ramakrishna surrendered his body, I think it was the most delighted snapshot of his life. An excite of delight went through him. I myself saw it. I recall each episode of that last day. Our Master appeared to be extremely well and bright. Toward the evening he talked for completely two hours to a man of honor who had come to put a few inquiries to him about yoga.
On that night Ramakrishna was chatting with us to the plain last. For dinner, he had smashed half glass of payasam (pudding) and appeared to savor it. There was, no uncertainty, a little warmth in the body, so he requesting that we fan him, and somewhere in the range of ten of us were all fanning without a moment's delay. He was sitting up against five or six pads which were bolstered by my body and in the meantime I too was fanning. This made a slight movement and twice he asked me, "For what reason are you shaking?" It was as though his brain was so settled and unfaltering that he could see the minimum movement. Narendra took his feet and started to rub them and Sri Ramakrishna was conversing with him, disclosing to him what he should do. "Manage these young fellows," he reiterated and again as if he were setting them in Naren's charge At that point, he requested to rests.
All of a sudden at one o'clock (early in the day) he fell towards one side. There was a low solid in his throat, and I saw every one of the hairs of his body remain on end. Narendra rapidly laid his feet on a blanket and ran down the stairs as though he couldn't bear it. A specialist, who was an incredible lover and who was feeling his heartbeat, saw that it had halted and started top sob out loud." What are you doing?" I asked, eager with him for going about as though the Master had truly abandoned us.
We as a whole trusted that it was just samadhi, so Naren returned and we sat down, approximately twenty of us, and started rehashing all together: "Hari Om! Hari Om!" along these lines we held up until somewhere in the range of one and two the following day. Still, the body had some warmth in it, particularly around the back, yet the specialist demanded that the spirit had abandoned it. Around five o'clock the body had developed chilly, so we put it on a bunk. Secured it with laurels, and conveyed it to the consuming ghat.
