SWAMI ABHEDANANDA LEAVES HIS BODY
On his seventy-third birthday celebration he said to one of his supporters: 'I am just an instrument in the merry sportive play of the Master, and the minute my life's central goal is finished, I will not hang tight notwithstanding for a second more. Abhedananda had his influence on the perfect show of Sri Ramakrishna. Step by step the incredible yogi made himself prepared to come back to his cherished master. One day he said to a devotee, "My body has a place with the Master." Towards the end, he demonstrated that his body ought to be incinerated at the Cossipore incineration ground after his passing. In the first part of the day of the eighth September 1939, he felt somewhat better and requested that his chaperon give him a glass of water. He sat on his bed and set down subsequent to drinking the water. Swami Abhedananda passed away soon after, at 8:16 a.m. on Friday, 8 September 1939.
