We are sorry to inform you of the passing away of Revered Swami Upendranandaji (Shakti Maharaj) at 7.20pm today 04-07-2020.
- He was 90 years old and
- had been suffering from diabetes,
- hypertension,
- and cardiac problems.
He was reported to be Corona positive yesterday (03.07.2020) and was shifted to the nearby COVID center for further management as per the government protocol.
He was put on a ventilator today 04-07-2020 evening due to low saturation and breathed his last due to
- Acute hypoxemic respiratory failure,
- SARI,
- AKI,
- COVID-19 infection,
- CAD,
- Diabetes Mellitus,
- and hypertension.
Initiated by Revered Sankaranandaji Maharaj,
he joined the Order in 1953 at our Vrindavan and continued to serve this center till 2000 after which he had been leading a retired life here.

He had his Sannyasa Diksha from Revered Swami Madhavanandaji Maharaj in 1963.
Revered Maharaj was well-known for his dedicated services in our Ramkrishna mission Vrindavan hospital and was a loving person for all the patients,
many of whom still fondly remember him.

Under his able leadership, Ramkrishna mission Vrindavan our Vrindavan hospital (Swami Vivekananda Road, near Anandmayee Maa Temple, Tarash Mandir Colony, Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh 281121, India) became a well-recognized medical center in this region.
His meticulous routine even at this advanced age was commendable.
The cremation will be held at Mathura tonight.
